WTF is it?
The Sherp ATV is a one-of-a-kind offroading vehicle that relies on a set of ultra-low pressure tires and a sealed body to make it buoyant in water and dominant on soil, ice, rock and snow.
What’s it do?
Theoretically, rolls over anything that’s in its path. The diesel-powered all-terrain vehicle can hit 30 MPH on land and 4 MPH on water, as well as roll over boulders, trees and other big obstacles.
The tires look like they came off a Tonka. What’s their deal?
The patented tires are self-inflating and tubeless, can climb gradients up to 35 degrees and have treads that function likes paddles in the water. Suffice to say, they do excellent work.
Who makes it?
A Russian firm which was incorporated in 2012. Also called Sherp. The brainchild of designer Alex Garagashyan, the company put the ATV into production after three years of development.
Is it in any way useful?
The manufacturer says they envision the Sherp as a useful tool for geologists, fishermen, hunters, thrill-seekers, discoverers and oil workers. We more see it as a way for everyone who missed out on driving Grave Digger as a profession to make up for lost time.
Alright, I’ll bite. How much?
The base model, which has a soft roof will run you $65,000. A hardtop “Kung” model is $70k.
Does it have a promo video that Vladimir Putin almost certainly watches before bed?
You bet it does comrade, you bet it does …
