The Dodge Demon Is Going to Be a Single-Seat Monster From Hell

But, like, a GOOD hell

If you’re going to cross over to the Dark Side, you should probably go alone.

That seems to be the thinking over at Dodge, whose engineers have allegedly decided to rip all but one of the seats out of the deliciously evil Challenger SRT Demon.

That removal, along with a host of others (noise-reducing components, trunk lining, speakers, sensors, etc) cut the Demon’s weight down by 232 pounds, although its final weight is still TBD. The slimmed-down coupe weighs exactly 215 pounds less than a Hellcat, the lightest of which tips the scales at 4,448 pounds, and should therefore be faster, according to Motor Authority.

Considering the Hellcat does 0-60 in under four seconds and tops out at over 200 MPH, the Demon is gonna be, appropriately enough, hell-a-fast.

More details are still to come, but here’s everything we know so far about the Demon, in video form.
