RM Sotheby’s Selling Ultra-Rare 1939 Alfa Romeo

Known to car aficionados as the “Alfa 2.9,” an ultra-rare 1939 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo Touring Spider is set for the RM Sotheby’s auction block in Monterey, California, on August 19-20. (See also the Jim Click Ford collection that is set for the same auction.) It’s one of just 12 Touring Spiders known to exist, and is part of a greater collection from Sam and Emily Mann, who are including four other cars in the August auction.
