Polestar has been ramping up its presence this year, including with a Super Bowl ad that raised its profile among many. For drivers seeking a high-performance electric vehicle, the company’s Polestar 2 has earned some rave reviews. Later this year, the automaker is set to launch its next EV — Polestar 3, an SUV.

Now, based on a new report at Autoblog, we have a sense of how much they’ll cost when Polestar begins taking orders for the Polestar 3. Autoblog cites recent comments made by Polestar’s CEO, Thomas Ingenlat, to the effect that the Polestar 3 will cost between €75,000 and €100,000, depending on the trim in question.

If the current exchange rates hold, that general price range should apply for the American market as well. (As of this writing, €1 was equal to $1.01.) As Autoblog’s article points out, this makes the Polestar 3 relatively comparable to the Porsche Cayenne, which begins at $72,200.

Details on what we can expect from the Polestar 3 remain relatively scarce. The automaker’s page for the car notes that the SUV “incorporates NVIDIA computing power, a fully electric drivetrain, and sustainable material innovations.” Given the impression that the Polestar 2 has made, it certainly seems as though the company has raised the bar considerably. We’ll have a better idea of what to expect from its SUV counterpart in the coming months.
