That’s approximately how long it takes the Lotus Evora Sport 410 to accelerate from zero to 60. Tres fast.
Tipping the scales at just 2,910 pounds, the 410 can also hit a top speed of 190 MPH — making it the fastest street-legal Lotus to ever be sold in the U.S.
The two-door roadster is covered tail to tip in handmade carbon fiber components, including a front splitter, rear diffuser and roof section. Under the hood, it’s sporting a supercharged six-cylinder engine, six-speed manual transmission and low-inertia flywheel that optimizes rapid shifts. The car’s aerodynamic bodywork channels air over and under the vehicle to reduce drag, and added touches like a lightweight lithium-ion battery and new windscreen make it even lighter on its wheels.
“Last year we embarrassed rivals with a car that cost less but outclassed their best,” said Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales. “The same rivals are in for a surprise. Less mass and drag and greater downforce mean the Evora Sport 410 is not only faster on the straight, but also when cornering.” Packing 410 ponies, the supercar is produced in limited quantities (only 150 examples a year worldwide) and is actually priced at a relatively reasonable (at least in context) $104,200.
