It’s nearly impossible for us to look at these vintage trucks by Wyoming-based Legacy Dodge Power Wagon and not be transported back to a simpler time. Dirt road. Work tools stacked high in the bed. Thumbing the wheel while Taj Mahal’s “Leaving Trunk” blares through the AM radio.
Dodge Power Wagons were once the go-to truck of folks living in the Rocky Mountains, and Legacy restores them so that they’re safe by modern standards, available in biodiesel and pretty enough to grandstand at car shows.
They have several upgrade packages available:
Basic Restoration makes them ready for local jaunts to Home Depot and around your daily hunting grounds.
Body and Frame Restoration will overhaul the mechanics to a level at which you’ll feel comfortable taking it for a longer camping trip or touring the National Park circuit. This means modernized electrics, A/C and a new stereo you can pair with an iPhone.
Stage Three Restoration will bring these badboys up to stadium status. They’ll install Ralph Lauren fabrics in addition to ensuring that every nut and bolt on the car is a work of art.
They also do other custom mods (like Woodies) and are happy to help you locate a restorable vintage ride if you don’t already have one in need of some TLC.
Start now and you’ll have it in time for next summer.
