Adding the Marvel of Electricity to a Porsche 910? Great Idea.

How does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds tickle your fancy?

With two electric motors churning out more than 600 HP, a range of 300 miles, the ability to charge in just 15 minutes and a 0-62 time of 3.5 seconds, Porsche’s electric Mission E will debut in 2020.

But this electrified Porsche 910 can top that 0-60 sprint time by a full second — and it already exists.

Built by Kreisel — the same electromobility specialists who built the Governator an electrified Mercedes G-Class — the 483-HP 910e has an all-electric drivetrain and automated two-speed transmission that let it top out at over 186 MPH but are somehow, mercifully, street legal.

Equipped with a lithium-ion battery that allows it to range 220 miles between charges, the 910e has a modified frame and liquid cooling system that brings its weight to 2,425 pounds. Originally built as a showpiece for the Techno-Classica Essen, the 910e was such a hit Kreisel now intends to construct and sell a limited number of the cars for $1,067,055 a pop.

Just in case you don’t happen to have an extra million euros immediately on hand, here’s a video of what appears to be a team of ‘80s action-movie villains engineering the car instead:
