We Have a Confession to Make: This Scooter Is Kind of Cool

The first step is acceptance

If you’ve decided to buy a scooter and thereby tacitly accepted looking ridiculous while riding it, you’d better make sure the one you pick packs enough juice to be worth the proverbial squeeze.

This one might just be it.

Stocked with more features than the The Times Sunday Review, the three-wheeled Immotor Go is an electric scooter that boasts its own operating system and runs on a rechargeable battery.

Designed by the ex-CEO of a battery phone case manufacturer, the foldable smart scooter can hit a top speed of 20 MPH and go for up to 20 miles on one charge while giving GPS directions. The Immotor’s handlebar allows its rider to easily control the scooter’s on-board selfie and video camera, built-in Bluetooth speaker, LED headlights and digital accelerator and braking system.

Easy to ride for novices and experts alike, the Immotor’s OS connects to an app that allows owners to customize all the settings as well as let friends unlock it using a smartphone code.

Already funding on Indiegogo, the Immotor ($749 MSRP) is priced to move — er, scoot — at $449.
