The world’s finest luxury automobiles started rolling into this year’s Geneva Motor Show Monday, but Ferrari proved fastest out of the gate at accelerating observers’ pulse rates.
The Italian car manufacturer unveiled its latest model, the 812 Superfast, the most powerful V12 the brand has created to date.
Say what you will about the name, but the car, a successor to the Ferrari F12Berlinetta, lives up to its reputation. With a 6.5 liter, V12 engine that has 789 of horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque, the car can move from zero to 124 mph in just 8 seconds.
At top speeds, the car can reach 211 mph.
Other features include four-wheel steering, electric power steering, a first for Ferrari, and the latest stability control system to prevent sliding and skidding.
The overall look of the car is sleek and polished with aerodynamics that help the car move smoothly so passengers won’t feel the engine while along for a ride. Inside, there’s an all-leather interior and a new steering wheel design.
Prices have not yet been announced. Watch the video below to get revved up in the meantime.
