Shapeshifting Yacht Goes From Racer to Party Boat at the Push of Button

After all, why compromise?

Some yachts are made for racing. Others, partying. And some are even made for living at sea.

Then there’s the Evo 43, a vessel that provides the chance to do all three, in spades.

A sleek-looking Italian build with space for 12, the Evo 43’s deck area can transform from its regular width of 14.8 feet to an expanded 20.7 feet in just 30 seconds at the push of a button. Better yet, if you don’t want to use the boat’s onboard control panel, you can do it with your smartphone.

The boat’s “XTension” hydraulic system allows its teak and carbon stern to offer as much as 269 square feet of space to be used as a lounge, sun deck or diving platform.

The transformable deck also has modular platforms built into it, which can be extended, rotated by almost 270 degrees and raised while in motion, or lowered during the boarding process. “Evo 43 is born from a great challenge: to equip the vessel with the most modern applications of home automation that could simultaneously offer a wow factor and the best cruising experience,” boat designer Valerio Rivellini told Digital Trends.

And the party doesn’t stop there either. The interior of the boat offers amenities like a V-shaped dining area kitchen with an induction stove, and a 46-inch TV built into a mirror. As for power, there are several models, offering output of 740, 870 or 1,100 HP.

While there’s no word yet on what the Evo 43s cost, we’ve got a line on what a used 2016 model goes for.
