Wood, metal and leather.
It’s a safe bet anything that calls those materials building blocks is probably worth a damn — in which case we’d surmise that this new electric bike from Avionics is worth several.
The steel frame of the Avionics V1 is accented by a wooden chest, lamps and saddle, the latter of which is topped off in leather. Inside the waterproof chest lies the V1’s 500-watt motor and lithium-ion battery — hardware with enough juice to give the bike 75 miles of range following a two-hour charge.
Powerful and light, the handmade e-bike includes other premium features like front and rear disc brakes, 26-inch wheels with durable tires and a deep matte black paint job.
“Our intention was to create something that is not only beautiful but also a never-ending source of joy,” Avionics says on their site. “A machine that would be trouble-free, simple and human and nature friendly. Just have a look: the design is amazing and it’s dreadfully fast!”
Pricing for the bikes has yet to be announced, but a presale will be kicking off in September.
