On July 9, Artcurial will auction a selection of 115 classic cars as part of the Le Mans Classic event. Some are estimated to be worth well over $1 million.
The star of the sale is a Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, which was introduced in 1961 at the Paris Salon. The car’s current owner acquired it in 1969. In excellent condition, it’s expected to realize over $5.5 million.
Unsurprisingly, the Ferraris will generally be the focus of much attention, with two other models estimated to be worth over $1 million: a 1967 330 GTS (between $1.8 million and $2 million) and a 1990 F40 (between $1.2 million and $1.4 million). Additional automobiles up for auction with an estimated value of over $1 million are a Delage D6 3L Grand Prix driven in competition by Maurice Trintignant and Philippe Etancelin (between $1.3 million and $1.5 million), and a Porsche 935 which took part in the Le Mans Classic at the end of the 1970s (between $1.2 million and 1.6 million).
Two other vehicles could also enter the seven-figures: an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante X-Pack (between $883,000 and $1.3 million) and a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster (between $772,000 million and $1.2 million).
