Tanner Garrity

Tanner is the Senior Editor at InsideHook. His writing covers a wide range of verticals and topics, including wellness, longevity, mental health, environmental sustainability, urban planning, workplace trends, social issues, running and baseball.

He joined our team in 2017 as an Editorial Intern, after graduating from Georgetown University. In the five years since, Tanner has gone on assignment for InsideHook all over the world; he's run a relay race through Death Valley, fished cod in Newfoundland, spectated surf championships at Oahu's Banzai Pipeline, sampled small-batch olive oil in The Peloponnese, and profiled Wrexham, the home of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Welsh football club.

During the height of quarantine, Tanner produced a recurring column for InsideHook called "The Workout Diaries," which saw him sample every workout under the sun in order to stay physically and mentally fit. He still regularly tests out exercise equipment, celebrity regimens and superfood supplements to help readers cut through the bullshit in the oft-untrustworthy health sphere.

In his spare time, Tanner likes to write fiction, longboard and watch baseball. He lives in Brooklyn. Follow him on Instagram and Twitter below.
