The word obsessed gets thrown around quite frequently and casually these days, with people not really meaning it. But I can confidently, and without any exaggeration, say that I am obsessed with New York brand Corridor — an obsession that has only intensified with the arrival of their first Spring/Summer 2020 drop.
The most recent collection from the brand stays true to their ethos and aesthetic of “New Americana.” Included in the collection is the brand’s ever popular overshirt, now in spring appropriate patterns and fabrics, like Natural Linen Herringbone or Indigo Linen Check.
But for this collection, Corridor seemed to really lean into the Americana theme, as evidenced by the Western influences. The most conspicuous display of the Western inspiration comes in the form of the Cowboy Dan shirt, patterned with tiny figures of horse riding cowboys (because what’s more American than a cowboy?), reminiscent of a old school children’s wallpaper. Then you have the Western shirts, in Summer Acid Plaid or Embroidered Chambray, affixed with the necessary cowboy snaps. And in a more subtle interpretation of the Wild West are button downs in Teal and Summer Retro madras — authentic madras that’ll put all your merely plaid shirts to shame. All we have to say is giddy up, cowboy.
We've put in the work researching, reviewing and rounding up all the shirts, jackets, shoes and accessories you'll need this season, whether it's for yourself of for gifting purposes. Sign up here for weekly style inspo direct to your inbox.
