In addition to being the lead guitarist for Pearl Jam, Mike McCready is also a photographer, and his new book—titled Of Potato Heads and Polaroids—is a fun, intimate look at life in a world-famous touring band.
McCready’s photographs, taken with a Polaroid over years of touring with Pearl Jam, include shots of nature, architecture from all over the world, and time spent with friends and family. But the real reason to get this book is all the weird, wonderful photos of McCready’s Rock ‘n Roll peers, like Neil Young, Jimmy Page, Joey and Johnny Ramone, Paul McCartney, Sting, Peter Frampton, Dave Grohl, Gene Simmons, and his Peral Jam bandmates, of course.
