Because your childhood dream of having a zipline out your bedroom window is still (sadly) unrealized, we give you the closest of approximations:
One of the world’s longest ziplines, now available at Gunstock Mountain.
Located in the beautiful forest just inland of the New Hampshire seacoast, Gunstock features over 1.5 miles of ziplines, running from the 2,200-foot summit of Gunstock Mountain through the surrounding forest (fun fact: it’s the longest zipline in the continental U.S.).
The Ziptours take about two hours, over a course of five lines. During the “Recoil Zip,” you’ll be suspended about 140 feet off the ground, descending at speeds of up to 65 mph.
Perhaps a good time to take a video with your mounted GoPro helmet cam.
And there’s more adventures to be had. Besides zipping, Gunstock features an aerial treetop obstacle course, bungee jumps and an annual Tough Mudder.
Plus mountain biking, camping, hiking and, er, off-road Segway tours.
Yet another childhood dream fulfilled.
