In the Special Forces, they teach you to build a team by destroying the individual — which is the whole point of The Hangover, if you think about marriage that way.

Form your own wolf pack with GORUCK Challenges, a nationwide series of team-building exercises run by a Special Forces vet, taking signups now.

GORUCKs are 8-hour, all-night “special ops missions” beginning at 1am in which the military’s toughest vets (Green Berets, Navy Special Forces, JSOCs, etc.) lead a group of 35 guys (and/or girls) on a grueling, city-wide, themed physical challenge, e.g., “rescue a downed pilot” or “resupply the convoy”.

Every op is different, but all include military-style exercises like log carries, endurance runs, obstacle avoidance, and pushups.

To get started, simply sign up online for the next challenge in your city. Missions begin at 1am, the starting location is kept secret until the week of, and every participant must bring a backpack with a single brick.

Speaking of: GORUCK also sells nigh-indestructible backpacks, which are available online or at the challenges themselves.

The challenges and bags are a collaboration between a Green Beret and a male model — because there’s no “I” in team, but there is plenty of Blue Steel.
