The New Yorker fired star reporter Ryan Lizza amid allegations of sexual misconduct, the magazine announced Monday. The magazine was informed that he engaged in what they “believe was improper sexual conduct.” They reviewed the matter and severed ties with him, a spokesperson explained. Lizza is probably best known for inadvertently ending Anthony Scaramucci’s short-lived White House career. Scaramucci called the reporter and went on an unhinged rant about his Trump administration colleagues. Lizza was anonymously accused of improper behavior on the secret “Sh-tty Media Men” list passed around by female journalists earlier this year. Lizza also frequently appears as a contributor on CNN, and a CNN spokesperson said that he will not appear on CNN while they look into the matter.
