With Christmas now a week away, it’s officially legal to break your ugly sweater out of hibernation.
Never ones to be late to a party (or shy away from having a little fun), the Foo Fighters busted out their taste-impaired sweaters a little early during a Christmas-themed performance on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live.
To add some holiday flavor to his solo rendition of “Everlong,” Dave Grohl wore a red-and-white reindeer knit that would’ve made Mr. Rogers blush. As the performance segued into full-band renditions of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and “Linus and Lucy” from A Charlie Brown Christmas, three of the four remaining Foos emerged in similar sweaters that looked all sorts of merry in HD. (Guitarist Pat Smear went with a scarf instead of a sweater.)
Here’s hoping musical guest Halsey does something similar when she appears on the next episode of SNL, which airs on January 13th, 2018.
