Sounds like someone’s mama never told him, “Son, always be a good boy, don’t ever play with guns“: a man in Arkansas has been arrested after shooting a hole in a portrait of Johnny Cash on the side of a 50,000-gallon water tower to make it look like the Man in Black is peeing.
According to TMZ, Timothy Sled was arrested for shooting a hole in the crotch region of the Cash silhouette — causing water to leak out and give the appearance that the legendary musician is relieving himself. He’s charged with two felonies: criminal mischief and impairing the operation of a vital public utility.
The water tower in Cash’s birthplace of Kingsland, Arkansas has been steadily leaking since Sled allegedly shot it over a week ago, and according to a report by the town’s local Fox News affiliate (which you can watch below), the leak has caused low water pressure and discolored household water in the homes of the town’s 347 residents.
It may look funny, but the leak is reportedly costing the small town $200 a day, and according to Mayor Luke Neal, it will cost an additional $5,000 to repair. The leak has reportedly wasted an estimated 30,000 gallons of water. Police say it’s possible that a second person involved with the act of vandalism will be arrested in connection with the crime.
