Chicks Dig Moonshine, Burlesque and Japanese Jazz. Trust.

She’s never been on this date before

You should know something about your date:

She’s done this before. Loads of times, in fact.

So you have to ask yourself, do you wanna stick to the ol’ playbook, or do you want to be remembered?

That’s what we thought.

For one night only, you’ll be heading out to a new prohibition-era Japanese cocktail lounge before immersing yourself in a speakeasy murder mystery that’s guaranteed to get you a little hot under the collar … in a good way.

The Fit
The goal for this evening’s dress code is creative business. For that, the Pal Zileri SS17 collection is your huckleberry. You wanna suit up for certain, but you want it to pop. Pal Zileri’s specialty is fine threads “where art and color meet sartorial expertise.” Trust us, if you step out in something quotidian, you’ll be the sore thumb in the room at this soirée. This dusty red number should serve you well or go for their chartreuse get-up if you’re feeling extra randy.

The Eats
The newly opened Bar Moga is a Jazz era Japanese revival lounge in the space where InsideHook favorite Rogue and Canon used to be. The East-meets-West bar serves up elegant cocktails with shochu, sake, and Japanese spices and liqueurs you’ve never heard of. For bites, look to the yōshoku menu: basically, Nipponese takes on traditional american hors d’oeuvres.

The Feature
Prepare to be thrilled and delighted. Returning for one night only, Speakeasy Dollhouse: The Bloody Beginning is an interactive murder mystery set in a DUMBO speakeasy. The production is the brainchild of artist/producer Cynthia von Buhler, responsible for the equally provocative Illuminati Ball. This time expect mobsters, moonshine and burlesque all wrapped into one limits-pushing fête.
