If You Were Stranded in the Desert in the Middle of a Nuclear Missile Launch …

Yeah, they made a vehicle for that.

The MAN CAT chassis Action Mobil’s largest offering rests on was originally designed to carry missiles and, if a nuclear threat ever pans out, it’ll also offer a pretty good place to take cover.

Dubbed the Desert Challenger, the monstrous vehicle relies on an A1 8×8 military chassis to support its nine-foot-wide, 13-foot-high, 40-foot-long body. All of put together? Thirty tons.

Part of that weight is from the Challenger’s 2,500-liter fuel tank, 2,400-liter supply of drinking water, massive on-board battery system and large tank full of cooking gas for the kitchen.

With an expandable living room that can be expanded thanks to a pair of hydraulically-driven extensions and a stainless steel kitchen with a walk-in fridge, the insane off-road motorhome is luxurious as well as tough.

Action Mobil can’t provide a price on the four-axle truck because they invoice depending on how many hours go into building the custom vehicle, but you can get a ballpark quote here.
