James Bond’s Submarine Car Got an Upgrade

Prettier than his girls?

Can you swim?

That’s a question most cars, outside of Chevrolet’s aquatically inclined Corphibian, answer “no” to.

Then again, James Bond’s custom Lotus Esprit S1 from 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me was not most cars:

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Esprit S1’s amphibious appearance in the film, Lotus designed a one-off Evora 410 honoring the car Roger Moore and Barbara Bach took swimming.

The 410 tribute car features the same color-coded front bumper as the S1 as well as a modified interior complete with carbon fiber plaid sports seats with tartan trim as well as red stitching.

Powered by the same supercharged V6 engine and six-speed transmission the 410 uses, the one-off build can do 0 to 60 in just 3.9 seconds and produces 410 ponies worth of horsepower.

We recommend you wait at least an hour after eating to drive it.
