When we learned that “the most extreme Bentley ever … [was] coming” earlier this week, we thought it would take it as long to show up as it took winter to get to Westeros.
Turns out we needn’t have worried, as the arrival, much like the car itself, was really, really fast.
Billed as the “world’s fastest four-seat car,” Bentley’s Continental Supersports can do 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 209 MPH thanks to a W12 upgraded with high-capacity turbochargers.
The 700-HP supercar (which is also available as a slightly slower convertible model) features aerodynamic bodywork covered with carbon-fiber bonnet vents, side skirts as well as a rear spoiler, and the whole package rides on 21-inch alloy wheels with huge carbon ceramic brakes. To improve the car’s performance even further, the Supersports is engineered with torque-vectoring technology that analyzes a driver’s acceleration and steering tendencies in order to more effectively use the individual brake on each of the car’s wheels out of corners and during turns.
Although the grand tourers are available with a nearly infinite number of customization options, “only a very limited number of these cars will be built,” according to the manufacturer. To make sure you’re first in line for four-door supremacy, register your interest with Bentley here.
