Why Every Model You Follow on Instagram Is in the Bahamas Right Now

Spoiler: Involves an open invitation for you to join them

Who cares about a music festival lineup when you can see models frolicking on the beach?

That’s the rhetorical question posed by Fyre Festival, a new three-day music and culture experience on Fyre Cay in the Bahamas.

Yesterday, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio and an entire bevy of beach babes were Instagramming photos from the destination island of Fyre Cay, leading to queries about the impetus for the greatest vacation in history.

Turns out Fyre simply wanted to capture the public’s attention right before tickets went on sale, so they flew all the girls down for some fun in the sun.

With the exception of Victoria’s Secret Angel Lais Ribeiro, all the other women posted flat orange photos on Instagram yesterday with the hashtag #FyreFestival and variations on the phrase “Join me!” While there’s no confirmation you’ll be partying until dawn with Elsa Hosk, Hannah Ferguson, Paulina Vega, Gizele Oliveira or Rose Bertram, the festival promises other bits of intrigue.

The most compelling, and vague, is their promise that the festival will involve a “treasure hunt of exceptional proportions.” Apparently, during both weekends of the festival — in April and May of 2017, respectively — clues will be placed around the island leading to $1 million in “treasure” and “perhaps an island of one’s very own” for the lucky search party.

Never heard of Fyre Cay? The festival promotes the small island as a previous “home to Blackbeard and Pablo Escobar,” which makes sense, because typing it into Google Maps turns up nothing. But that could also be because it lies in the Bermuda Triangle, or because it’s a renaming of the not-quite-as-stimulating Norman’s Cay.

No one wants to go to Norman Festival. Everyone wants to go to Fyre Festival.

So yes, these sirens are beckoning you to buy tickets.

Currently, the lowest price for Fyre’s weekend of music, culture and cuisine is $950 (eventually that will increase to $1,500) … but that package offers just a shared room with a twin bed. The most luxurious accommodations — with four king beds and room for eight people — will put you back $3,595 today (or $9k, if you wait). And it wouldn’t be a festival without the option for VIP upgrades.

Tickets are on sale now and discounted for a limited time. But before you book your beach bungalow, remember that it does not include so much as a dip with Rose, Emily, Bella or any of the aforementioned Instagram famous models.

Just so we’re clear.
