Kelly Cole knows how to find a needle in a haystack.
The guy spends hours driving around to flea markets and scouring the web for vintage gold. For a long time, he dealt almost exclusively in rock and roll T-shirts and leather jackets.
But now he’s turned his attention to furniture at Other, where he peddles the sort of old-school leather goods and offbeat accent pieces you’d expect to find in Keith Richards’s flat.
Below: six of the dapperest pieces currently on offer at his shop.
You’ll never have to go to the Rose Bowl Flea again.
It looks like a giant leather cloud, and feels as such when you’re resting in it. It’s from Brazil and dates back to the 1960s. The leather and the rosewood have been perfectly restored.
Sigurd Ressell Leather Falcon Chair
This Norwegian chair from the ‘60s is essentially a leather and wool basket that hangs on a metal and wood frame. Truly one of a kind.
It’s nice to mix up materials in your sitting room, and this copper coffee table achieves just that. You’ll want to warm it up with some books and pottery.
This pair of hand-carved Igorot warriors from the ‘50s have vowed to protect and serve your end table.
You’ll see a lot of skulls in Kelly Cole’s apparel store. This one’s our favorite, and it would look good on top of a book on that copper table.
A little pop of color combined with the hypnotic patterns of this Afghani Kilim rug will most certainly tie the room together.
