Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: An ice cream flavor to kick off your mornings, a Valentine’s Day gift from Nike and a new clothing line from Leatherman.
Takashi Murakami All Black Hublot Watch
You’ve seen Takashi Murakami’s smiling flower character everywhere: behind Lionel Messi, printed on Supreme collabs for COVID relief and in Billie Eilish videos. Now, you’ll find a rotating version smack dab in the middle of a new Hublot watch featuring 456 black diamonds and limited to 200 pieces. Murakami himself recently showed off the timepiece on Instagram if you want to see it in action.
Jeni’s Everything Bagel Pint
We’re not sure who asked for this, or if it tastes any good, but we’re here to tell you that Everything Bagel-flavored ice cream is a thing that exists. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream has created what they call a “shockingly good” cream cheese ice cream with everything bagel gravel, featuring sesame, poppy seeds and even, onions and garlic.
Stussy x Nike
Save yourself the trouble of attempting to tie-dye your own white Air Force 1s and instead snag a pair from Stussy’s latest collaboration with Nike. Each pair is hand-dyed in Los Angeles, California, by Lookout & Wonderland, an art practice based in plant color, medicine and fiber, meaning the dyes are ethically harvested. You won’t get the usual hippy-dippy tie-dye you’re accustomed to, but a much more subtle (and entirely unique) version of the pattern, which makes them that much cooler.
Greats Driggs Slipper
For Greats’ second slipper the brand decided to stay true to the classic silhouette, lending it just a few tweaks and upgrades. Faux fur lining, warm wool felt and an EVA insole means the Driggs slipper is just about the softest thing you could put on your feet.
Leatherman Apparel Collection
The first name in multitools has been around for almost 40 years now, and they’ve packed just about every tool imaginable into their ingenious, compact handhelds. What they haven’t done is offer their devoted fans a gosh darn T-shirt. That changes today, as Leatherman has introduced an entire line of apparel, including tees, hoodies and long sleeves. Like their tools, they’re not here to half-ass it. All the clothes are USA-made with USA-made materials.

Year At Play (Y.A.P.) Edition: Goodbye 2020
Co-founded by childhood friends — she’s a creative director who worked with Stacey Abrams and he’s a master plumber — Year at Play is a new card game based on current events, specifically our COVID year of hell. Trump vs. Biden, sports without fans, the great toilet paper rush, Karens, Pizza Gate and more. It’s all there, only this time it’s fun.
Nike Air Force 1 “Love Letter”
Whether you find yourself single or boo’d up this Valentine’s Day, treat yourself (or your partner) to Nike’s festive Air Force 1s. Keeping the same silhouette and white leather, the sneaker is appropriately outfitted with pink suede accents, a red leather ‘Swoosh,’ and in place of the usual perforation on the toes are laser cut hearts. But the most impressive detail on the sneakers is the “love letter” on the tongue, which reads, “True Love Since ‘82” in reference to the year the sneakers were released. Swoon.
Xiaomi Mi Air Charge Technology
Actual wireless charging might soon become a possibility. Global tech company Xiaomi announced a wireless charging system called “Mi Air Charge Technology,” claiming the system can charge devices “within a radius of several meters.” Though, as The Verge notes, companies have been claiming “true wireless charging” for years, so don’t cut your cords just yet.
