Gotta catch 'em all

Some people will tell you that once you reach a certain age, you should no longer be celebrating your birthday.

We say that’s hogwash. You lived to see another year, and that is cause for celebration.

Luckily, Ferrari agrees.

To celebrate 70 years since the unveiling of their first car, Ferrari will produce one unity of each of their five flagship vehicles in 70 different special-edition liveries. Read: that will be 350 cars in total — and every single one of them will be one of a kind.

Each of their five current production-line models — California T, 488 GTB, 488 Spider, GTC4 Lusso and the F12 Berlinetta — will get the makeover, with many of the designs paying homage to Ferrari’s decorated racing past. The honored parties will include the Agnelli family, Steve McQueen and former Formula One drivers Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Phil Hill, John Surtees, Niki Lauda and Michael Schumacher. Still others, meanwhile, will ape iconic models that are no longer in production, like the 125 S, the 250 GTO, the 275 GTS4 NART Spider, the 288 GTO, the F40, the F50, the Enzo and the LaFerrari.

A milestone, indeed.
