David Brown Makes the Most Coveted Sports Cars You’ve Never Heard Of

No two models ever have — or will be — the same

According to Malcolm Gladwell, it takes 10,000 hours of practice to perfect a skill.

Considering it takes David Brown Automotive around 3,200 man hours to build a car and they’ve now built five them, we think it’s safe to say they’ve mastered the art of the sports car — and it shows.

Since debuting with their first “nod to mod” prototype in 2014, the manufacturer has created quite the stir among English auto enthusiasts. Built on the skeleton of Jaguars, each of their Speedback GTs is customized to the owner’s exact specifications and no two have or ever will be alike.

The three currently being prepped for delivery go by the names “Ruby Tuesday,” “White Knight” and “Blue Moon.” As you can see from the photo at top, their paintjobs made an impromptu Union Jack photoshoot completely necessary.

DBA currently has five more models in production. They’re spoken for, of course, but the makers have higher production plans in place on the near horizon.

Until then: Cheerio!
