The “FearofGodZegna” Collection marries the storied Italian fashion house’s precisely tailored wares with the slightly 90s-inspired design of the Los Angeles streetwear brand, resulting in a collection extremely pertinent to 2020. Taking predominantly streetwear silhouettes like joggers and anoraks and rendering them in luxurious silks and wools lends the pieces a life beyond the street.
While the collection seeks to navigate and collapse the increasingly tenuous line between leisurewear and traditional menswear, it does more than offer streetwear staples in elevated fabrics. Rather, the collection proves that tailored pieces still have a place in one’s closet, in a way that’s slightly more subtle and conducive to the strange times we find ourselves in.
Take this collarless wool jacket, which remains a testament to the tailoring abilities of Zegna, yet in a slightly oversized fit that communicates a sense of casualness. When paired with the matching wool joggers, it offers a Very 2020 take on the idea of “business casual.”
