Real-Life BMW Transformer Makes Megatron Look Weak

Can your 5 Series do this?

Never — ever — have we wanted to be a billionaire as badly as we do right now.

Because, forget childhood dreams, this Turkish company has tapped into our dreams of the here-and-now by turning this BMW into a real-life Transformer. And they want to sell you one.

The makers at Letvision have contructed a fully functioning protoype, baptized the Letron, that actually appears to drive — however slowly — and transform itself into Optimus Prime’s better half via remote control.

The pricing and release date for one of these puppies have yet to be announced, but it’s safe to say that the pricetag would come with at least six zeroes considering that the Bumblebee used in Michael Bay’s film went for $167,200 at auction. The four models available are dubbed the Bizmut, Argon, Wolfram, and Tantal.

Is this a hoax? Given the convincingly jerky motions and the BTS shots on their Facebook page, we’re inclined to think not. We want to believe. But even if it is a hoax, the video’s worth a look. Just imagine what you could do with this beast in gridlock.
