A Maserati Hearse Is a Fine-Looking Way to Waste Your Kids’ Inheritance

Live fast, die young and arrive at your funeral in style

As every man is aware, knowing how to make an entrance is an important skill to have in life.

As a new luxury hearse design has made clear, it’s an important skill to have in death as well.

Built by Ellena srl Autotrasformazioni, the Maserati Ghibli Hearse has a regular Ghibli front end but the fiberglass rear bodywork of the vehicle has been modified to accommodate a coffin.

The company — which has made funeral cars from Mercedes-Benz models in the past — outfitted its rigor mortis rider with dual-zone climate control, a phonic sound system and interior LED lights.

Also, depending on its lucky customer’s religion and personal preferences, the V6 model’s stainless steel cross can be removed and its doors dressed up with wreaths.

Never hurts to leave on a high note.
