If you’ve got an extra $1.75 million lying around and a fascination with tragic celebrity death scenes, you’re in luck: a dealership in Nevada is auctioning off the car in which Tupac Shakur was gunned down in 1996.
“This is the actual car that Tupac Shakur was shot while riding in after a Fight at the MGM in Las Vegas,” the Celebrity Cars Las Vegas listing for the vehicle reads. “It was driven by Suge Knight and originally leased by Death Row Records. This is the first time this car has ever been up for sale or on display since his death in 1996.”
Before going up for auction, the BMW 750iL was renovated to “the condition it was in before” Tupac’s murder, save for a small indentation that the company believes was made by a bullet. To make on offer on the car, you’ll need to provide a $20,000 refundable deposit and a signed confidentiality agreement.
The rapper was shot in the car on Sept. 7, 1996 while sitting at a stop light with Suge Knight after leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand. He died from his wounds six days later. He was just 25 years old.
