Here, Have an Apocalypse-Proof Apartment on Wheels

Doomsday prepping is fast becoming a national pastime.

It’s also a rather engrossing one. Which begs the question: Whence the apocalyptic safe haven for those of us who lack the time, practical knowledge and/or acreage to build our own?

The answer comes in the form of the Bruder EXP-6, a burly trailer out of Australia (naturally) that packs as many square feet and amenities as an entry-level San Francisco or Manhattan apartment.

On the outside: an ingenious chassis and suspension system that can carry up to 11 times its own weight with unparalleled comfort and off-road capabilities. A contoured design means it can climb most trails with ease, and the rig is completely airtight, so you won’t be finding puddles of mud on the inside when you reach your destination.

But when you do, you’ll be kicking it in high-style. The generously proportioned floor plan includes a queen bed, two optional bunk beds (it can sleep up to six), a fold-out kitchen and dining room, two fridges, a shower and a host of discrete storage areas.

All aboard for Valhalla.
