LA Clippers Reveal New City Edition Uniforms

The Los Angeles Clippers unveiled their new 2019-2020 City Edition uniforms on the cover of Sports Illustrated on Tuesday (Oct. 15). The black-and-white jerseys, designed in collaboration with Los Angeles artist Mister Cartoon, feature the city’s name in an Old English font.

The city edition uniforms will be worn 17 times by the team throughout the season, starting with a Nov. 22 home game against the Houston Rockets. The jerseys go on sale on Nov. 27 and will also be worn during the Clippers’ Christmas Day game against the Lakers.

The Sports Illustrated cover features Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Landry Shamet and Montrezl Harrell sporting the new designs, and the cover story, penned by Michael McKnight delves into the team’s massive offseason reinvention.

“McKnight examines how the Clippers’ front office transformed one of the NBA’s most moribund franchises and put them squarely in the title conversation for this season,” Sports Illustrated teases.
