It’s time you grab tickets to the Chicago-to-Broadway production of This Is Our Youth, the Kenneth Lonergan play starring Michael Cera (Arrested Development) and Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down).
If you’ve promised her one night at the theater this summer, make it this one. Here’s your plan:
The Jacket
You’re heading to the theater. Let’s step up your sartorial game a bit, shall we? The Airy Hopsack Blazer from Gant Rugger is an unconstructed joint cut from a summery cotton and linen blend. It’s sharp, but not stuffy, so you’ll feel comfortable all evening long. (Ed. note: GANT is having a moment. Their entire spring and summer line is phenomenal. Get there.)

Just a block away from the Steppenwolf, the newly revamped Boka slow-cooks its short ribs for 48 hours so you get major flavor packed into one elegantly plated dish. Enjoy it in the romantically lit room with a legit cocktail menu. Bonus points for snagging a seat in the atrium. Peep the menu.

A play whose productions have cast names like Mark Ruffalo, Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, This Is Our Youth has been a cult favorite since debuting in ‘96. This production sees Cera and Culkin taking the reins as drug-addled, disenfranchised youth growing up during the era of Reagan’s Cold War politics.
The show runs until July 27th — grab your tickets here.
