From sausages and beer to excuses for the Cubs, we Chicagoans proudly make a lot of things.
Adding primo, handmade duds to the mix: Stock Manufacturing Co., selling online now.
Just relaunched, Stock’s mission is to hook you up with one-off, exclusive garments made in collaboration with choice designers and tastemakers.
Stock makes each piece in Chicago and sells direct, eschewing the typical middleman markup.
Their latest collaboration: a military-influenced line with the fine gents at Whiskey Grade.
Check the ruggedly handsome M65 Field Jacket, cut nice and made to mil-spec standards. And then there’s the Officer’s Shirt, inspired by the U.S. Navy’s shirt of choice throughout the 1930s and ‘40s.
Both are on our wishlist, along with a few other pieces from Stock’s expanded in-house label:
- A clean, slim-fitting mac coat in waxed cotton
- A 100% Japanese flannel hefty shirt
- And their updated Work Shirt, perfect for odd jobs around the house and odd jobs around town.
Work it, man. Work it.
