Bout Time

Blood. Chipped teeth. Chokeholds and knockouts.

We love the MMA because, bloodthirsty voyeurs that we are, it offers levels of fist-to-face violence unseen outside of the movies, or even the DMV.

And now, for the first time ever, legally sanctioned amateur MMA bouts are coming to New York City. Get your tickets now.

A few things to know:

1) These bouts are sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association, one of the only active governing bodies recognized by New York State. This means top-level talent: you’ll be watching 12-14 bouts featuring cats like Pan-Am gold medalist Marcus Surin and punch throwers from Jersey’s Asylum Gym.

2) The bouts are organized by Victory Combat Sports. They also run the Friday Night Fights Muay Thai series, as well as nightlife spots like PHD and The Electric Room. So they know both fisticuffs and hospitality.

3) Speaking of hospitality: there will be booze.

Fighters will wreak havoc in the octagon May 17th at Terminal 5, and tickets are available now.

We suggest grabbing one before a fight breaks out.
