In 2012, EDM — which stands for Electronic Dance Music, and sounds not unlike the frenzied copulation of two Decepticons — eclipsed the popular music scene.

In 2013, it’s taking over your workout.

Introducing Aura Cycle, an LED-driven blitzkrieg of sound, light and Skrillex-y fury, now open.

Founded by a former NYC trader and a former Italian Junior Olympian, Aura Cycle is a dude-friendly and crazy convenient workout on 3rd Street.

“It’s not like most spin classes,” says co-owner Jose Palau. “The lights help you zone out and before you know it, it’s over.”

The duo’s gym includes ice-cold eucalyptus-scented towels, spacious slate-walled showers and a fridge stocked with Clover Juice.

Aura also has a convenient online system for booking, free parking and multiple instructors. Classes take place in a tiered, ampitheater-like room that fits 40.

It’s what the EDM kids would call a massive.
