Hole in One

Even if you consider golf a good walk spoiled, you can’t deny the appeal of the 19th Hole: a dimly lit gentleman’s bar where you can tipple ‘till you’re timber.

As in falling down.

As in: welcome to the Morrison, a new Scottish gastropup, conveniently nestled next to the Los Feliz Golf Course, and open now.

Founded by the Stout folks, The Morrison’s a tribute to all things Scottish: wooden crests, plaid everything, and a setting as dim as a stony keep.

This is where you’d go after a round, or for an evening out on the east side.

On tap: 40 craft beers sourced from Scotland (natch), but also ranging from Belgium to Smog City, plus specialty cocktails like the Applewood with Woodford Reserve and house smoked apple juice.

The Highland-inspired dinner menu includes brisket meat pie, soft Scotch eggs with venison sausage, cod and chips, while lunch offers haggis sliders and a house made corn beef sandy covered in gruyere and pickles.

For the lady-waisted, there’s always Scottish salmon and a beet salad with kale and quinoa.

Or stick with the brisket burger topped with a four oz. filet and marrow butter.

Consider that a good resolution spoiled.
