The Tesla of Two Wheelers Has Arrived

And they’re designed in SF, to boot

Before California was the 31st state in the Union, it was Alta California, northerly brother of Baja California.

It was wild. Untamed. A place to explore — over hill and dale, from mountain to coast and everywhere in between.

Which might have been why the designers at the less-than-glorious BRD just rebranded themsevles as Alta Motors.

Their new Redshift motorcycles — one an off-road MX, the other a road-ready supermoto — are fully electric, now available for preorder and should be delivered by the end of the year.

This is a serious bike, with the experts at one industry bible calling it a “groundbreaking electric motorcycle.” The Redshift comes in two editions:

The MX2, an off-roader ready to tear up your local motocross course, and the “plated for the street” Redshift SM.

Both are faster than you need. Both are prettier than you would have thought possible of an electric vehicle when you first set eyes on a Prius.

If specs get you going, give them a look.

Vaya con Dios.
