Step One: Get Dressed

After sold-out, critically acclaimed runs in both London and L.A. (where many theatergoers turned up in costumes from their favorite films), Elfman and Burton’s raucous multimedia concert showcase makes its NYC debut. Expect a full orchestra and choir performing the film scores in front of a big screen projection edited by Burton with film clips, original sketches, storyboards and more. The clincher: Elfman himself singing the role of Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Step Three: Stroll to Dinner
Just down the street and tucked inside the obscenely glamorous new Baccarat Hotel, you’ll find Chevalier, an elegant French brasserie where Michelin-starred chef Shea Gallante is turning out decadent fare like truffled “French onion potage,” black sea bass with warm asparagus stew and a duck breast so perfectly crisp that you might order a second one to take home.
