Belarus may not be on a list of hottest destinations in 2017, but it may be after this “drone-lapse” video gets around.
Filmmaker Artem Pryadko created a stunning series of aerial shots of his hometown Minsk in the Republic of Belarus—with a creative twist. The two-minute video was filmed throughout 2016, with shots featuring elements of all four seasons. The Belarusian says its “a new direction in shooting time lapses …. time lapse using a drone.”
Pryadko filmed the time-lapse video, which combines a set of photos taken with a long exposure to give the appearance of faster movement, from his DJI Phantom 4 drone to capture Minsk like it’s never been seen before. Rather than a bird’s eye view, the resulting drone lapse gives the viewer a near-omniscient perspective (i.e. the ability to see everywhere and everything).
