A couple of big things happened over the holidays.
Not just talking about the rain or snow (WTF?). Talking about five restaurant openings — which is a lot for this time of year, if you keep track of these things, as your correspondent happily does.

But these weren’t just five regular ol’ openings. These were five high-end, high-quality spots sure to inspire food-lover giddiness. (Please don’t be giddy in public though; it’s uncouth.)
