Legendary movie producer Spike Lee is promoting a rally at NFL headquarters on August 23 for Colin Kaepernick, the currently unemployed quarterback famous for protesting the national anthem.

Lee tweeted an announcement about the rally. Though many of NFL players have faded out of the league, not many get a protest at the league office in New York.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Justice League NYC and the Empowerment Movement are listed on the announcement. A similar protest in May drew about 50 people outside the league offices. However, Yahoo! Sports says that a rally probably won’t accomplish much, because it is “very, very hard to believe the league itself is orchestrating” Kaepernick not being signed.

Lee has been outspoken about the Kaepernick situation already, reports Yahoo! Sports. In March he posted on Instagram that it was “fishy” there was no interest in the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

Kaepernick has been available for more than five months.
