Since 1931, the members of the Cipriani family have been the ultimate masters of luxurious hospitality. Their eateries and event spaces around the world — from Dubai to Beverly Hills and everywhere in between — are known for their ornate decor and delectable Italian fare not found anywhere else. They’re even credited with inventing the Bellini cocktail in 1948.

Now, Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani — fourth generation brothers of the famed enterprising family — have opened the doors to their first New York City hotel venture, Mr. C Seaport.

Located in Manhattan’s ever-expanding Seaport District, the 66-room boutique hotel offers a sweeping view of the East River, Brooklyn Bridge, and New York skyline, but it’s what is on the inside that really counts. For a minimum of $525 per night lucky guests will be welcomed with plentiful Bellinis (a Cipriani signature), as well as a host of other lush amenities.

The Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed space comes filled to the brim with nautical influences like the kind of teak veneer usually found on a yacht deck and subtle nods to Cipriani ephemera, like the bowtie sported by all Cipriani staff and their illustrated barman character himself, Mr. C.

The rooms are no exception, with a variety of suites ranging from one to three bedrooms that all offer handmade Italian furniture, relaxing rain showers, 50” interactive 4K televisions, and fine Italian linens by Casa Rovea — not to mention a minibar full of pre-bottled cocktails.

Should you want to venture outside of these 5-star accommodations, there’s a fleet of 2018 Lincoln Navigator automobiles available at your disposal too, as well as a set of Mr. C Seaport bicycles by Fourth Floor Distribution.

And who could forget the food? In true Cipriani fashion, the hotel is anchored by Bellini, a round-the-clock canteen for the jet set folk who will, no doubt, be keeping Mr. C Seaport booked solid for years to come. To book a stay visit www.mrchotels.com.
