Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million for reshooting his scenes in All the Money in the World, while Michelle Williams was paid $80 per diem, which totaled less than $1,000. This means that Williams was paid less than 1 percent of her male co-star, reports USA Today, who claims to have three sources familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly about it. Ridley Scott’s Getty kidnapping drama was reshot the week of Thanksgiving after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct streamed in against Kevin Spacey, who previously starred in the drama as billionaire J. Paul Getty. The stars got together in Europe to reshoot Spacey’s scenes with Christopher Plummer in order to still make the Christmas release window. The reshoot cost $10 million and in December, Scott told USA Today that the undertaking was aided by the fact that “everyone did it for nothing.” But USA Today reports that Wahlberg’s team negotiated a hefty price of $1.5 million for the reshoots. Williams was not told about these negotiations. Both are represented by the William Morris Endeavor agency. Wahlberg was named as the highest-paid actor of the year in August by Forbes. Williams told USA Today that when Scott’s team called her to request the reshoot, she said, “I’d be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me. And they could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted. Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort.”
