Getting to the Super Bowl isn’t always about how well you play. What teams you play and who you avoid also plays a major role in which teams enter that final stadium. The wild-card winners from this past weekend are happy to move on the divisional round, but the respective roads facing each of them are not equal, writes ESPN. The Saints are traveling to Minnesota as underdogs, while Atlanta is the first 6-seed in history to be favored against a 1-seed when it faces a Carson Wentz-less Philadelphia on Saturday. Bill Barnwell plots out each team’s route to Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII. So who will have the most generous road to the biggest game of the season? The Vikings. Barnwell writes that they should be favored throughout the remainder of the NFC postseason. They’ll either be at home against the Falcons or on the road against the Eagles, and since the Falcons are road favorites in Philly, the Vikings will be too. If this is true, the Vikings would be the first team in league history to play in the Super Bowl at their home stadium. Second place goes to the New England Patriots, who must have welcomed Tennessee’s win on Saturday night. Then comes the Steelers at number three, the Falcons at number four, and the Saints at number five.
