Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin are back and as badass as ever in the new Sicario 2: Soldado trailer. Brolin and Del Toro are continuing their roles as C.I.A. agent Matt Graver and his “man on fire” Alejandro. The duo is operating with no oversight, and the drug war has escalated. The cartels are now trafficking terrorists across the U.S.-Mexico border and Matt’s bosses ask him to intervene. Alejandro is out for revenge against the people who killed his family, and you see him thrown into a new assignment involving the daughter of a drug lord, Isabella (Isabella Moner). Del Toro told EW that his character is at a point where he has to “either follow orders or make the right decision and so that’s kind of where the character’s stuck.” Emily Blunt, director Dennis Villeneuve and cinematographer Roger Deakins are all not returning, but Stefano Sollima is at the helm.
