Know who won't? Your kids. Because they're not allowed.

Here’s a Private Island in the Middle of Nowhere You Will Like

White sand beaches. Thatched villas. And most importantly: very, very few people (and even fewer children).

That is the appeal of the private island. The barrier to the private island, of course, is procuring one (cheaper than you think!).

Which is why we recommend renting — an arrangement Cempedak Private Island appears to have on lock. The 42-acre Indonesian island is home to 20 open-air bamboo villas that come with private swimming pools that overlook the ocean. Very little electricity is needed to operate these stunning structures: they use LEDs, ceiling fans and not much else.

But that’s assuming you spend a long of time in the villa. You probably won’t, considering the resort offers scuba diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking. And that’s just what’s on the water. The restaurant plates locally inspired fare, and will make pretty much whatever you want to order. The grass tennis courts look like they cropped up organically, and you can also climb the island’s natural rock formations. Either way, you’ll want to hit the spa afterward to unwind.

Accomodations start at around $320 a night. And there are no kids allowed.

Awesomely.
